This quay section is just downstream from the part that had collapsed and the cracked concrete and rotting fender show the poor state of repair of this part of the waterfront. Walking along I could see there were a number of cracks showing in the path even outside the fenced-off area.As alluded to by the graffiti, this used to be the terminal for sailing trips aboard The Waverley, the last sea going paddle steamer in the world, which now docks at the redeveloped Pacific Quay further downstream on the opposite side of the river.
