This week’s image was taken yesterday morning at Tollcross Park in the heart of the East End Glasgow.
There are a number of tree lined paths and wooded areas in the park and it features an indoor winter garden which unfortunately is closed at present due to storm damage to the glasshouse.
The photograph was taken at the top of the hill, the highest point in Tollcross Park with excellent views west across the city and north towards the Campsie fell. At first the weather did not look promising but frequent sunny spells provided an excellent contrast between the lush grass and the dark grey clouds over to the north and west. The skyline is rendered out of focus, making the grass fully dominate the image, but two high rise blocks near Springburn can still be made out.
