A crow’s nest in a tree viewed from my kitchen window. The crows built this nest in the spring this year just before the late blossom. I was just able to see the chicks in the nest, once they’d hatched, being fed and subsequently learning to fly. The nest has been abandoned for a few months now though some magpies had taken a brief interest in it after the crows had left. Completely intact after severe gales last week it remains testament to the construction skill of crows. With more severe weather forecast for this weekend I wonder if it will hold up once again. I haven’t seen nesting in this particular tree before so I wonder if the crows will return next year.
